Yes, just spray a very fine mist, let set for 15 to 20 seconds, and gently wipe away. Several applications will be required to remove all, because the milk is fully dried now.

I need a High Quality Cleaner for my DVD Laser Lens. How would I go about applying/cleaning it using OptiMax?

There are basically two types of cd or dvd players.

One where you can easily see the lens, and the other you cannot easily see
the lens.

If you can see it, simply clean with our swabs, or a q-tip sprayed with
OptiMax..

If you cannot see it, a cover will have to be removed where you can see it
to clean.

There are two other options, but the above is best.

Option 1... Blow with air.

Option 2... Buy a disc cleaner that has brushes.

I do not recommend either options as ideal. The air will work if its just
large dust debris in the way.

In my mind, the cleaning disc with brushes is like trying to clean your car
windows with a paint brush. Again, the disc may work, if dust is the only problem.

My question was I have a 57" Sony HD RPTV which has a plastic "screen shield" coated with a double layer of anti-reflective coating which Sony says is very delicate. In fact, they only recommend cleaning it using a solution of warm water and a "mild" detergent, whatever "mild" means.

I actually followed this procedure soon after I got the set and it removed some of the coating, which left big unremoveable streaks on the plastic screen. I had to have this shield replaced, under warranty, thank goodness! So I wish to know if your product is safe for use on TVs such as mine which have anti-reflective coatings on the screen. I would hate to have a similar disaster for a second time.

Yes OptiMax has been tested, and is completely safe for your application.

Safest method of cleaning is as follows:

Using OptiMax Wipes or OptiMax Polish cloths, spray OptiMax onto cloth or wipe to make them slightly damp.

The purpose of the above is to aid in dirt removal while a damp cloth will allow for a greater ease in wiping gently.

Then spray OptiMax directly on your screen, and wipe gently until clean. It may take several applications initially to remove all dirt and dust.

Our sprayers put out a very fine mist. Use more spray initially to aid in dirt removal.

On your large screen, you may wish to start by cleaning in quadrants. 25%, then the next 25% and so on.

After several cleanings, use a light mist over entire surface area for a final clean.
